Members of our Society receive our quarterly magazine, The Diamond, the Society newsletter, The Extra Board, the ELHS general store catalog The Flying Saucer, and our modeling newsletter From the Workbench.

• The Diamond - our popular 40 page historical journal printed on gloss enamel paper and features illustrated articles about the operations, facilities, equipment, and employees of the related lines. Occasionally, major articles are run on a serial basis spanning several issues.
  
  
• The Extra Board - our newsletter features information and articles about the Society and its activities, updates about the current happenings effecting the railroad lines and equipment, modeling news, a member For Sale and Wanted to Buy section, etc.
  
  
• From The Workbench - our modeling newsletter featuring modeling news and articles written by our members.
  
  
• The Flying Saucer - our general store catalog featuring excusive models and books published by the ELHS offered to our members at attractive prices.

Another membership benefit is the annual meeting, which is held each fall at a site along the former Erie Lackawanna. Past locations have included Corning, Binghamton and Buffalo, New York; Marion, Ohio; Scranton, Pennsylvania and Hoboken, NJ. Regional meetings are also held in the Spring each year. Featured at the annual meetings are slide and movie presentations, field trips to local railroad facilities, historical and technical talks, modeling technique clinics, artifact and modeling displays, general discussions, and of course, bountiful banquets.

The ELHS offers three classes of membership. Regular members receive all the benefits outlined above. For those who are able, and wish to help the Society, Sustaining and Patron memberships are also available. The contributions represented by these two classes of memberships (beyond the regular membership fee) are tax deductible to the extent permitted by law. In addition, Patron members receive two copies of The Diamond.
