Mystery Photo

Mystery Solved! The location of the photograph has been identified by several members as being Rochester, New York. That being the case, the view would be looking generally south since the Erie's tracks where on the west bank of the (flooded in this photograph) Genesee River. The railroad on the opposite bank would be the Lehigh Valley Railroad. The exact date of the photograph is unknown, but based on the fact the passenger coaches are still lettered as the New York, Lake Erie & Western and it is prior to electrification of the branch by the Erie in 1907, it is likely we are viewing a scene from the mid 1890's or early 1900's. According to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration data there was a flood of the Genesee River at Rochester in April of 1896, could this be the date? Thanks to all those who helped identify the photograph.
